The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Forum

That headline may sound a little bit odd, but while there are plenty of Haruhi-related books out there, including at least one artbook for the anime series, illustrator/character designer Noizi Ito himself hasn't released a The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya artbook. Until now!

The book is titled Haruhi Shugi – Ito Noizi Artbook - (“Haruhi Shugi” would be the Japanese equivalent of Haruhi-ism), and features new illustrations as well as previously-published ones from the Sneaker and the light novels themselves. It's over 100 pages, too, which is a pretty big art book...

AkibaBlog has a half-dozen photos of inside pages, which I've included a few of here. But I'm willing to bet that we'll be seeing plenty of imported copies of these at conventions and various online stores, so be sure to buy a copy if you love Ito's artwork as much as I do!

I totally would buy this if I wasn't have money problems hopefully I can find a copy of it in the summer online. I love Ito's art.

Ehhh, Ito's good, but a bit too moe for my tastes, so I probably won't pick it up. I want another Ray Omishi artbook-- yum, Sorcerer Hunters. He IS working on a new manga called U~min, but even it looks moe...sigh...I don't hate moe in and of itself, but I hate that EVERYTHING is moe these days...
