I don't know if I mentioned this on the site (Probably did on CV) but I am Mexican, so this is something particularly exciting for me...
Something that bothers me is that it's really hard to find a good dub (in any language) for songs, which is why I praise Disney so much about this!

So when I found this fandub on YouTube I was particularly excited to find that the lyrics and music fit so perfectly! (All this added to my newfound love for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
Remember they're fandubs so they won't sound as good as the original...

Hare Hare Yukai
Lyrics in Spanish (What it means in English)

Si podemos exponer ya todos aquellos misterios de la tierra (If we could expose all those mysteries on the earth)
De seguro viajaría a cualquier lugar (I'm sure I would travel wherever)

Y pasamos nuestras vidas pensando en sueños y dulces esperanzas (We spend our lives thinking in dreams and sween hopes)
Pero me pregunto quien los concederá (Yet I wonder who will make then come true)
Hasta el fin del tiempo (Until the end of time)
Vamos, y... (C'mon and...)

Es así, como vemos al mundo girar (That is how, we see the world turn)
Únete a nosotros vamos todos ahora a festejar (Join us we will all now celabrate)
Este lugar (This place)

Disfrutaremos el sol de hoy (We enjoy the sun today)
La magia dará felicidad (The magic will bring happiness)
Y todo dirá, que nada será (and it will all say, that nothing will be)
Imposible en realidad. (imposible in reality)

Todos los días al despertar (Everyday as we wake up)
Debemos sonreír y cantar (We should smile and sing)
La felicidad te acompañará (Happiness will go be with you)
No es fácil sin luchar... (It's not easy without a fight)

Trata de alcanzarla (Try to reach out)
Lograrás tus metas (Realizing your goals)
Lo que quieres lograr (Whatever you want to do)
Lograr, lo alcanzarás. (Realize it, you will get it)

Mientras algo sea posible (While something is possible)
En el futuro que siempre es incierto (In the future it's alwyas unreal)
Pero yo sé algo con mucha seguridad (But I know something for sure)
Desde el cielo, las estrellas (From the heavens, the stars)
Todas noches continuarán brillando (Everynight they continue shining)
Aunque el cielo nublado parezca siempre estar (Even though the sky is cloudy they are always there)

Por esto tengo esperanza (Which is why I have hope)
Si... (Yes...)

Joven soy (I am young)
Tengo muchos sentimientos (I have a lot of feelings)
Si unimos nuestras manos (If we join our hands)
Invencible parecerá (It will look like something invincible)
el destino. (destiny)

Todo es posible el día de hoy (Today everything is possible)
La tristeza vamos a dejar (We will leave sadness)
Yo quiero cambiar (I want to change)
Y lo gritaré (and I will scream)
Con todo mi corazón. (With all my heart)

Todos los días al despertar (Everyday as we wake up)
Debemos sonreír y cantar (We should smile and sing)
La felicidad te acompañará (Happiness will go be with you)
No es fácil sin luchar... (It's not easy without a fight)

Mi corazón late... (My heart beats...)
Al compás del mundo... (To the beat of the world)
Yo sé que tú también (and I know you too)
También, sientes eso. (feels the same)

y... (and...)

Es así, como vemos al mundo girar (That is how, we see the world turn)
Únete a nosotros vamos todos ahora a festejar (Join us we will all now celabrate)
Este lugar (This place)

Disfrutaremos el sol de hoy (We enjoy the sun today)
La magia dará felicidad (The magic will bring happiness)
Y todo dirá, que nada será (and it will all say, that nothing will be)
Imposible en realidad. (imposible in reality)

Todos los días al despertar (Everyday as we wake up)
Debemos sonreír y cantar (We should smile and sing)
La felicidad te acompañará (Happiness will go be with you)
No es fácil sin luchar... (It's not easy without a fight)

Trata de alcanzarla (Try to reach out)
Lograrás tus metas (Realizing your goals)
Lo que quieres lograr (Whatever you want to do)
Lograr, lo alcanzarás. (Realize it, you will get it)

Well yeah, the audio quality is an obstacle, the other being my incredibly limited knowledge of Spanish. Being Texan, Spanish is kind of the 2nd default, but I'm still pretty terrible at it.

Though I don't know if I think all songs need to be localized. I often just dig how the original composition "sounds" even if it doesn't translate directly into mediums I understand. Granted, I listen to very few soundtracks that aren't musical theatre, but it just seems like you can work to localize something, but then its something new entirely.

@John_Martone: I agree with original is always better which is why I watch anime in Jappanese, TV shows and movies in english and telenovelas in spanish.... (well I don't actually watch Novelas but you get my gyst.)

Everything is always better in their original format but with the fact that we live in a multilanguage world translations and dubs are a must, the problem is finding a good one... and although yeah the audio quality is off the translation fits amazingly which is my biggest "hype"

Maybe AHR can help with the spanish speaking man!
