She bored because she hasn't met any Aliens, Time Travelers or Espers. Just Kyon!

The creators of this series are either stoned or creative geniuses, because the popularity of this show is extremely high and I include myself in fault of that.
This is the second episode of the anime, and the first episode of the story... I think!

The Good
As always I must mention first the animation, and art style. The art style is not necessarily original in particular, but it is very appealing to the eyes. It's a very clean animation style with clear colors, which I enjoy.
I'm just going to go ahead and say it, Haruhi is one of those fictional characters that I would marry. I am a fan of interesting, wacky characters, and I'm jealous that Kyon gets to talk to her. The story, honestly, doesn't make sense a girl wants to meet espers, aliens and time travelers, but is stuck with normal people in a high school in Japan. She's bossy and mean, and also takes her time to make a club about nothing in particular, with Kyon, against his will.
Mostly Haruhi is not at all appealing at first, but she is interesting, and I am glad that the creators took the time out of creating a Moe main character and making her a crazy girl in a school. Although there's no Moe lacking in this episode since the fourth member of the SOS Brigade (name of the club) has big knockers and Haruhi's lesbian perv energy makes sure to acknowledge it! The third member is a one-syllable talking girl who reads.

The Bad
Honestly nothing happen except the monologue in Kyon's head about Haruhi, and although I agree with everything he said the development was a little slow.
Do you see the light 'halo'? Everybody has it in their hair!

Also I am a bit bothered the light halo all the characters have on their hair, but I can get over it.

The Verdict - 4 out of 5

Like I said this episode has no point but to introduce characters and establishes that there will be no objective of the series, and yet I am intrigued with what this will lead to this group of strange misfits. Do you like comedic, high school, crazy girls? Then this is an anime you don't want to miss...

(I've seen the complete series, and I have to say that there is something for everyone in this series, even for those who like action packed scenes and mech. I know it doesn't make sense now but trust me there is!)
