Get On Your Knees and Pray to the Last Airbender’s Newest Trailer

Part of me wants this movie to be bad so that I don’t have to go crazy waiting for it to be released, I try really hard not to like it. As I watch the trailers I convince myself that it’s going to suck, but as the trailer progresses I soon realize that I am still head over heals in love with Avatar. With that said this trailer blew me out of the water, maybe it was all the pretty special effects, or the fact that we can finally hear these people talk, either way bravo. If that wasn’t good enough, this movie is also now going to be in 3D, which I’m sure is a good thing. (Though I still haven’t watched a 3D movie yet). Now please excuse me as I practice my bending.

Why must Shyamalamadingdong's big budget fanfic look so epic?!
I seriously hope it won't be a disappointment (though I don't have I hopes considering his previous flops).

The lack of Earth Kingdom is kind of disappointing. Also 3D can be good if done well but it can also really suck.

It looks so pretty it hurts to think it can be an epic flop if things go wrong.

I was expecting the fight scenes to look better.  The SFX in them were cool but the actual combat/choreography itself didn't look as whoa as I was expecting.  I'll still see it day one though.  The better any magic ninja movie does the closer we are to getting a bid budget live-action Naruto movie.

Special effects were pretty good, I gotta say. The fight scenes could use some work, and the acting--well maybe I'll just have to see the movie for myself...non-3D style.
 
Still skeptical about some things about this, especially the tone Shyamalan seems to take on this movie. I'm not sure I dig that so much. W/es though, still going to see it for myself if it's good or bad.

Hmm....looks like M. Night Shyamalan's take on Avatar might be pretty sweet after all. Might have to go and watch this when it comes out. n_n

I hate myself for wanting to like this so much despite the high chance of being completely and utterly disappointed. Of course, the base material is very good so it could fall short and be not that bad, right? Right?
 
At least I've gotten used to the cast choice now...well, except for Yue, since this is the first time (that I remember) seeing her.

@Konanda: if he does the moves right then it should be a 3 part just like the series was and so far it looks pretty accurate but M. Night is known for throwing in twist that ruin his movies. As long as there is no the Fire Lord is Aang's Father, or its all a dream, or the Avatar is within all of you and never really existed  BS the movie (hopefully movies) will be great. I can't wait to see it (them)

Actually only about 2/3rds of his movies have had the sudden and huge twist ending he is famous for. Most have had some twist but only four of them have been the really huge ones. Also it's not so much they ruin the movie as he's just become kind of a cliche. The way he writes his screenplays is why most of his movies are just kind of average. The notable exceptions to this being The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, which are his first two films and a twist ending which actually works with the film. 
 
Also if you have never seen Unbreakable you should watch it since it's quite good.

I rarely see live action 3-d that I feel actually supplements the viewing experience, so I intend to see it in ye olde 2d.
