The Galaxy Express 999 makes a short stop on the Ghost Colony, and abandoned space colony that is devoid of all life. After being alerted to human life forms wandering the surface, Tetsuro and Maetel decide to venture out, where they are soon attacked and surrounded by a large group of clones.

Before things lead to bloodshed, Cicropros, the creator of the clones, arrives and tells them to leave Maetel and Tetsuro alone. After a short visit to Cicropros house, Tetsuro heads back to the train station ahead of Maetel. A short time later, Maetel rushes back and instructs the GE999 to leave immediately due to the imminent destruction of the planet.

After taking off, the Ghost Colony explodes and Maetel tells Tetsuro that it was the work of Cicropros and gives Cicropros' diary to Tetsuro, per his final request.
