Rider, Saber, and Archer sit down for a drink and discuss what makes a King. The talk turns to violence when Assassin interrupts.
While Saber does lookout, Iris explores the broken castle. She faints once Rider's Gordius Cart goes through the forest. Rider arrives at the front door, and he asks Saber to have a drink with him. In the courtyard, Rider offers Saber a drink while he talks about the war. He asks who is worthy of the Holy Grail. Then, Gilgamesh materializes in the courtyard, and when Rider offers a drink, Archer finds it an inferior wine for a hero. Gilgamesh shows him what true wine looks like with golden wine glass. Rider and Saber are caught by surprise with Gilgamesh's exquisite wine. Rider asks for Gilgamesh's reason to claim the Grail. Gilgamesh explains that all treasures belong to him, yet he has no real desire for it. He wants to punish those who raid his precious treasures because it's the law that he enacted. When Saber asks Rider about his reasons, Rider replies that he wants to be reincarnated. He explains he wants to live a real life as a human to experience the essence of conquest. Saber finds his ideas not fit for a king. Then, Rider asks Saber about her desires. Saber wishes to change Britain's fate of destruction. Rider asks why she want to change fate and possibly history. Gilgamesh chuckles a bit, and he finds that her sacrifice is hilarious. Rider states that a king offers no sacrifices and that his subjects offer themselves. Saber refuses to believe it, and Rider calls a king who sacrificed himself is a fool. She asks Rider if he had any regrets, and Rider replies that he has none. He explains that he does mourn the loss, but he will never undo history because it will dishonor them. When Saber talks about justice, she explains that a king sacrifice herself to her beliefs. Rider finds Saber a slave to her justice, and Saber finds Rider a greedy king. Rider states that a king must live and inspire others to do so. He tells her that she is not a king but a naive girl who is trapped by her ideals.
Suddenly, multiple assassins arrive and surround the servants. Rider says that he will offer a seat to all people regardless of foe or enemy. He offers them a drink and states that wine is like blood. With the wine has spill, Rider gets serious and demonstrates what a true king is to Saber. Inside of his reality marble, a vast desert appears. Rider reveals his vast army and that his bond with them is his greatest treasure. Rider's army complete massacres all of the assassins. With that over, Rider tells Saber to wake up from her sad dream or she will lose all of her pride before he leaves the castle. Gilgamesh tells Saber to follow her own path and that carrying that burden is worthy of his affection. Saber tells Iris about a knight who left Camelot because King Arthur did not understand everyone's feelings.
