Land of Waves Arc

The Forest of Chakra - チャクラの森 (Chakura no mori)

Opening Theme-

"Rocks" by Hound Dog (Japan)

"Rise" by Jeremy Sweet and Ian Nickus (U.S. TV)

Kakashi wakes in the Bridge Bulider's houue and says he won'y be able to move properly for a week. Tazuna, and his daughter, Tsunami, head upstairs to see him. Kakashi begins to tell them about Hunter-nin and how they dispose of the body of Missing-nin in order to prevent a Village's secrets from being revealed. He tells Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura that Zabuza is still alive because the traker didn't aim for any organs and didn't work on the body then and there which is highly unusual. Naruto seem happy because now he can have another chance to bring Zabuza down.

We find the tacker ninja sitting in the forest with Zabuza's body. The tracker ninja begins to perform a procedure on Zabuza's body, when suddenly his arm is grabbed by Zabuza himself, revealed to be alive. The tracker ninja, known as Haku, is using his rank as a disguise in order to deceive Team 7 and is really Zabuza's partner.

Zabuza is lying in a bed with Haku at his side. Haku says if he didn't interfere Zabuza would be dead right now. Gato, the man that hired Zabuza to kill the bridge builder starts to talk dirty about Zabuza which upsets Haku. Haku grabs his arm and almost breaks it. Thent he takes out the two body guards. When they leave Zabuza said he had a weapon and was going to kill the guy. Haku says that would have been foolish because he was their best cover.

Back at Tazuna's house, Kakashi feels like he's forgetting something about Zabuza's death. Naruto asks what's wrong and Kakashi tells him that Hunter-nin usually take care of a body once they find it, which was not the case with Zabuza. Kakashi suspects that Zabuza is still alive. In order to prepare for their fight with Zabuza, Kakashi tells Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke that he will give them training, along with the fact that they are growing quickly, especially Naruto. Tazuna's grandson, Inari, interrupts, telling them that they will die if they go up against a man named Gato. Naruto heads up stairs to give Inari a piece of his mind, but he suddenly hears someone crying. He peaks into Inari's room to find that it is him that is crying.

Meanwhile, Kakashi tries to teach Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura how to climb a tree only using their chakra. Team 7 stands in a forest as Kakashi begins to explain their training, but before doing so, he has Sakura explain the chakra, the basis of the training. When she is finished, Kakashi tells them that they are not able to effectively use their chakra and at their current ability, they're only wasting chakra. This is where the training comes in. Kakashi has Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke climb a tree without using their hands by walking up it. In order to do so, they must gather their chakra to their feet and attach it to the trunk. This helps them learn how to accumulate the right amount of chakra to a certain location of their body and maintain their chakra. The three ninja will climb up the tree several times, making a mark on the trunk with a kunai knife to show their progress and set a new goal. Naruto ends up falling after his second step. Sasuke starts to go up the tree, but ends up unable to maintain his chakra, causing him to jump off and make a mark on the tree. Sakura ends up getting nearly to the top of the tree, sitting on a branch. It is then shown that Inari was watching them.

Kakashi tries to motivate Naruto and Sasuke, when Naruto isn't having much success he asks Sakura for some advice and Sakura told Naruto not to tell Sasuke. As Kakashi looks on he noticed that Naruto has more chakra than Sasuke and even himself.

Ending Theme-
