Plot Summary

Workers find a ball of mercury, and when he touches the ball, it is implied that he has been manipulated. At church, Risei tells everyone that Caster is violating the rules and to suspend their fight. He states if a master executes Caster, they will get a Command Seal. Risei informs Tokiomi that five familiars were present which means Kayneth is still alive. He smiles about how their strategy is going to let the other masters hunt Caster while Archer delivers the final blow. Over at Weaver's residence, Rider gets a shirt with the world map on the front of it. He yells at him for exposing himself, and Rider states that he should be wearing modern attire like Saber. Weaver tells him to wear proper pants. The two get into an argument, and Weaver promises that he will buy all the pants if Rider defeats an enemy. At the hideout (castle), Kiritsugu informs Saber that they can use Saber as a bait due to Caster's obsession with Joanne d'Arc. He asks Irisviel if she has learn how to use magical barriers, and Irisviel is worry about Saber's left hand since it hasn't heal. Lancer is still alive.

Despite Saber's injury, Kiritsugu states that Saber will have to use the terrain, and he will attack from the flank. Saber yells at Kiritsugu for being a coward and that she wants to fight. Kiritsugu tells them that he does not trust Risei at all. Elsewhere, Kiritsugu asks Irisviel if she would run away with him. He announces that he will dedicate his life to her and their daughter. Irisviel hugs him from behind and tells him that he cannot run away or forgive himself. Kiritsugu admits he is scared due to Kirei. Detecting a presence in the forest, Kiritsugu and Maiya equip themselves while Iris and Saber observe Caster and children in the forest via crystal ball. Caster smiles at them and wishes an audience with Saber. He tells the children to play a game of tag, and the children flee to avoid getting killed by Caster. Saber marches through the forest to find bodies of the children around her. Caster greets Saber while he pets a scared child. He lets the child run to Saber. Suddenly, the child's body explodes into tentacles. All of the corpse has tentacle monsters coming out.

Using her magic armor, Saber repels the monsters, and she charges towards Caster. Despite how much she has attacked the monsters, they regenerate. Inside the castle, Kiritsugu instructs Maiya and Iris to leave the castle because someone will attack them with Saber preoccupied. Caster explains his Noble Phantasm's powers to summon a demon horde via the use of a tome. Caster tries to remind her about the battles in his lifetime in order to remind her. Before Saber gets choke by tentacles, Lancer destroys them with his two spears. Caster gets angry at Lancer, and he tells him that she belongs to him. The two begin attacking Caster's army, and Kayneth summons his mercury ball. He marches through the front door and announces his presence. As traps are triggered, Kayneth's ball protects him. Kiritsugu finds Kayneth busting out from the floor. Before Kayneth has his mercury ball attack, Kiritsugu avoids them with his ability, Time Alter.

Noticing Kiritsugu is gone with the use of magic, Kayneth uses Ire Sanctio to find him. When the mercury ball finds Kiritsugu, Kiritsugu uses another Time Alter move to avoid being detected by slowing his body down. From the corner, Kiritsugu fires with his machine gun, and Kayneth blocks it.
