Akari spots Chisaki pulling Manaka out of the water. Manaka realizes all her lost feelings are returning to her because her Ena is filled with love for Hikari. Manaka recalls Sea God's past with the Ojoshi-sama. Seeing her missed the surface world, the sea god sends her back to the surface, stripping her Ena. The sea is calm because her love along with Ena are dispersed in the sea. Kaname arrives to Chisaki giving Manaka CPR. Manaka remarks that the sea looks beautiful. Deep in the Ojoshi-sama graveyard, Hikari cries out for Miuna, and he tries to charge at the Ena barrier that holds Miuna. Tsumugu grabs Hikari's hand and urges him to calm down. Tsumugu recalls Miuna looking at the sea during those days. Tsumugu tells Hikari that he will head back to the village to see any changes. Outside of the graveyard, Uroko meets up with Tsumugu. Hikari realizes that he wants to protect Manaka's smile, and the girl who always waiting for him was Miuna. He feels guilty that he hurt Miuna who loved him. He wonders why Miuna had feelings for him when she knew that he loved Manaka.
Hikari begs the Sea God to take his feelings to love in exchange for Miuna. His yell echoes across the sea, causing a ripple effect. As Miuna starts to wake up, the sacred fire takes on the Sea God's Will and lights up Shioshishio and returns to the graveyard, burning all of the Ojoshi-sama mannequins. Hikari rips through the Ena barrier and frees Miuna. Ojoshi-sama's feelings among the Ena flows into the sea. Uroko smiles at the fact that the Sea God had stolen the Ojoshi-sama's feelings, but the god did not know that her feelings was towards the god. He states that when Manaka was trapped, the sea is calm because there is no sadness or happiness. Then, Hikari sees his father walking towards them. Tomori shocks Hikari when he knew about Akari's son and Miuna's Ena. He states that he had overheard Hikari's words because they were able to reach him. Tomori theorizes that the generation that were born of the sea and the surface people are able to have Ena, meaning there is a future for both groups.
When the ice melting and breaking apart, Hikari and the rest of the Shioshishio villagers arrive to the surface. Chisaki reunites with her parents while Kaname smiles at Sayu. Manaka hugs Miuna instead of worrying over Hikari. Miuna sheds tears of happiness when Manaka is back to her old self. The two girls cry and hug each other.
Afterwards, things return to normal. As Kaname and Hikari swim towards school this morning, Kaname teases Hikari about asking Manaka out. Hikari states that things do change, but some things don't. Akira finds Manaka in the village. The two swim towards Tsumugu's boat. Tsumugu informs Manaka that he will be heading back to the university. He teases Manaka about Hikari. Hikari and Kaname wait for Manaka's group. He calls out to Tsumugu and tells him to come visit them from time to time. At Mihama Junior High, Miuna reassures Sayu that she looks fine. Miuna's classmate notes that something has changed in Miuna. Miuna and Sayu wait for Hikari's group at the front entrance of the school. Tsumugu arrives back to pick up Chisaki who was in a conversation with Isamu. In Shioshishio, Uroko is amused at the humans and the sea dwellers. He notes that seaflake snow has stop falling.
