The Chūnin Exam Stage 2: The Forest of Death - 第二試験スタート!周りはみんな敵だらけ! (Daini shiken sutāto! Mawari wa minna teki darake!)

Opening Theme-

"Haruka Kanata (遥か彼方)" by: Asian Kung-Fu Generation (Japan)

"Rise" by Jeremy Sweet and Ian Nickus (U.S. TV)

The examiner makes a statement about the second exam which causes Naruto to quickly mock her. She immediately throws a kunai knife past his face and appears right behind Naruto. She begins to touch the blood from the cut on his face that she made, but then pulls out another kunai knife and turns around, finding another ninja who was returning her first kunai. Sakura realizes that both the ninja and the examiner are both

dangerous. The examiner, before explaining the second exam, hands out consent forms for each of the examinees to sign, telling them that people will die during this exam. She then explains that this exam will be a survival match. The training area where they are at is in a circular shape with 44 locked gates. There is a tower that is 10 kilometers from the gates in the middle of the area. The teams will be fighting over two scrolls, the Scroll of Heaven and the Scroll of Earth. Of the 26 teams, half will get the Scroll of Heaven, while

the other half will get the Scroll of Earth. The objective is to obtain both scrolls and arrive at the tower. There is also a time limit of five days. The inability to bring both scrolls with your entire team to the tower or the loss or production of an unrecoverable teammate will result in failure. Teams are also forbidden to look inside the scrolls until they reach the tower. The examiner explains that Chuunin handle top secret documents and that this will test their reliability.

Sasuke thinks about the situation he and his teammates are in, while Sakura quickly gets into an argument

with Ino. Naruto encounters Hinata, who tries to give him treatment for his wound, but he leaves before she

is able to do so. The teams begin to turn in their consent forms and retrieve their scrolls. Naruto,

Sakura, and Sasuke obtain the Scroll of Heaven. The teams line up at their own gates and enter the forest.

One team nearly discovers Ino, Shikamaru, and Chouji, but the three barely escape their notice. Another team finds Kiba, Shino, and Hinata. They are quickly attacked by the leeches of the forest and fall into

the trap of Kiba and the others. Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke hear the scream of the attacked ninja, when

Naruto decides he needs to pee. Sakura punches him in the head for doing something like that in front of a

lady and tells him to do it behind the grass. When Naruto returns, Sasuke quickly attacks him, realizing

that it's not Naruto due to the wound on his face being missing and his shuriken holster being on his

left leg, when Naruto is really right-handed. The imposter reveals himself to be a ninja from Amegakure

(Village Hidden in Rain) and asks who has the scroll. When neither of them answers, he charges at them with a kunai knife.

Ending Theme-

"Harmonia (ハルモニア)" by Rythem
