Hirai is a sadistic assistant judge who was a member of the class with Misaki Higuchi and Ayako Nishijima.

Kobayashi is a young apprentice lawyer who's in training and in love with Misaki Higuchi.

Misaki Higuchi is a stern and intelligent lawyer who works in her father's Higuchi Law Office.

Tagaki is a fellow apprentice lawyer along with Kobayashi, but he's bashful due to his inexperience with women.
