Texas is the name of a space colony that belongs to Side 5. Intended as a feeding ground for livestock, it was abandoned after it got damaged at the outset of the One Year War.
Texas was the only colony in Side 5 that survived the Battle of Loum. The colony was intended for recreational purposes and raising livestock; however, during the Battle of Loum, the colony was damaged, locking its reflector mirrors in place. The locked reflector mirrors put the colony into a perpetual state of early evening, and the colony soon was abandoned, becoming a barren desert.
The war would return to Side 5 after the Battle of Loum though, in the form of a duel between Amuro and M'Quve's Gyan in the desert.
