The protagonist of the anime and manga "Kuroko no Basuke"
Tetsuya Kuroko is the main protagonist of the manga and anime Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko's Basketball). Kuroko was the mysterious phantom sixth player of Teikō Middle School's basketball team prodigy regulars known as the Generation of Miracles. After graduating middle school, Tetsuya entered a fairly new high school, Seirin High School, with a blooming basketball team. He now plays for the high school's basketball team and aims to make his team the best in Japan alongside Taiga Kagami.
The original character art for Tetsuya Kuroko was created by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the mangaka who created the Kuroko no Basuke story.
Kuroko has a small built and is a bit small for a basketball player. He has short light blue hair, styled to the right. His eyes are blue as well, and often have a vacant expression. Kuroko has fairly pale skin.
Kuroko dresses in a jersey with the number 11, sometimes wears sweatbands black in color, and has whit basketball shoes.
His regular attire (i.e. when not training or in matches), he dresses in his school uniform: black vest zipped up to his chin, and the sleeves are lined with blue lines slightly above the cuffs, and the lines are also found along his zipper. He also dresses in regular black pants.
Height: 168 cm
Weight: 57 kg
Kuroko has an expressionless and blank face and a straightforward personality. He is a hard worker and puts the needs of his team members above his own. Kuroko lacks presence and is usually unnoticed by those around him, which is a helpful trait that aids him with his misdirection technique while playing basketball. Kuroko has great respect for those passionate about basketball, and believes that senpais have pride while kōhais have respect.
Although having a kind personality, Kuroko can become very angry when his team mates are threatened and injured by foul methods. His furiousness and anger also increases his determination and fighting spirit, which makes him a very difficult opponent.
Kuroko calls himself a "shadow", meaning that he becomes stronger when the "light" (i.e. the person he plays with) is stronger.
I am a supporting actor, a shadow. But a shadow will become darker if the light is stronger and it will make the white of the light stand out. As the shadow of the main actor, I will make you, the light, the number one in Japan.
- Kuroko to Kagami
