Tenma is the Pegasus Bronze Saint in the XVIII century. He is the protagonist in Saint Seiya: Lost Canvas and also appears in Saint Seiya Next Dimension.


Tenma is an orphan of Japanese origin, he has hot temper and does't hesitate to get physical. He lives in Italian orphanage, there he gains two best friends Sasha and Alone, who usually he defends from the bulling of other kids. One day knowing the imminent adoption of Sasha they make pact to be reunited once again in the future. After she left the boys become even more united .

Since a young age Tenma showed the ability to sense his cosmos. One day, when a near river threats the lives of Alone and the other orphans, Tenma accomplish to raise his cosmos in the last minute to destroy the rocks that were deviating the flow of the river. All this is witnessed by Libra Dohko who impress by the feat of the kid takes him as his pupil to become a saint of Athena. Once again he makes a pact with alone, where Tenma swears to come back once a Saint, and let Alone finish the painting that he started.


Tenma was created by Masami Kurumada for his manga Saint Seiya: Next Dimension .Kurumada is known for using the Osamu Tezuka's Star System technique ( a stable cast of characters ) so it's not rare that Tenma looks similar and has a similar personality to Seiya the other known Pegasus saint. Later Shiori Teshirogi, took the character for her own manga Saint Seiya: Lost Canvas where he is the protagonist.
