Tekken is a live action movie based off a fighting game franchise also called Tekken. The video game franchise is developed and published by Namco while the movie is a product of Crystal Sky Pictures. Dwight H. Little (Anacondas) was the director and the screenplay was written by Alan B. McElroy (Spawn, Wrong Turn series). The film is set for US theaters for August 5th, 2010 and was released earlier in Japan on March 20th, 2010.

In 2039, the world is in shambles due to multiple World Wars. The only source of entertainment for civilization is the Iron Fist Tournament, a fighting tournament formatted in one on one battles where only one victor is claimed. Winners of the tournament are promised riches and celebrity status. Heihachi Mishima sits as the chairman of mega-corporation Mishima Zaibatsu, owner of the Iron Fist Tournament, and is the main antagonist to his grandson Jin Kazama.

Jin, the main protagonist, is a rambunctious youth who is on a quest of revenge for the death of his mother that he blames on Mishima Zaibatsu. His goal is to win the tournament in order to get close to Heihachi and murder him. Lucas, a previous Iron Fist Winner, trains Jin so that he may compete in the tournament to reach his goals. During Jin's journey he discovers the hidden truth behind Mishima Zaibatsu.

The Blu-Ray and DVD release for Japan is August 11, 2010.
