Tao Pai Pai

Tao Pai Pai is an assassin-for-hire and Crane Hermit's younger brother. He was hired by the Red Ribbon Army to assassinate Son Goku and bring back his four Dragon Balls. He is very expensive and usually charges 10 billion Zeni apiece, but gave Commander Red a 20th Anniversary discount and cut the price in half. We first see his abilities when Commander Red first hires him to kill General Blue which he does with his tongue. Tao Pai Pai takes a pillar and flies on it to Karin Tower. Bora tries to defend Goku from him, but dies when Tao Pai Pai impales him with his own spear. Goku engages Tao Pai Pai in a fight, but Tao Pai Pai withstands Goku's Kamehameha wave and defeats him with his Dodonpa. Tao Pai Pai takes three of the Dragon Balls and goes to get new clothes as his have been damaged. When he comes back to finish the job and retrieve the last Dragon Ball, Goku defeats him thanks to Karin's training. When Tao Pai Pai inquires of his strength, Goku tells him about the sacred water atop Karin's Tower. Tao Pai Pai climbs the tower to get the power for himself, but Karin senses a wicked person like him and fools him with trickery. Goku and Tao Pai Pai have a rematch and Goku lets the assassin win for a while before beating him again. Tao Pai Pai fakes surrender and throws a grenade at Goku who kicks it back and the assassin is seemingly killed in the blast. It is later revealed that Tao Pai Pai survived the blast and was rebuilt into a cyborg. He competes in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai and nearly kills Chaozu. He faces Tenshinhan in the quarterfinals and is defeated by him. Tenshinhan then tries to escort him out of the arena, but Tao Pai Pai draws a katana and slashs the warrior across the chest, scarring him for life. Tenshinhan loses respect for his former role model, seeing that he has no honor, but Tao Pai Pai does not care and attacks with his blade, only to get it snapped. Tao Pai Pai then reveals his other weapon, a Super Dodonpa cannon more powerful than the original, but Tenshinhan nullifies the blast and drops the cyborg with a single punch. He then tells Crane Hermit to take his brother and never bother him again. Tao Pai Pai later appears in the Cell Games saga and is seen working for a rich coward who was conning people into a "protection dome." Son Gohan appears and warns him off that he is Goku's son. Tao Pai Pai quits the job and flees scared. His last appearance is that he is working for a gangster named Mr. Vodka who wants the Dragon Balls to build an empire. Goku finds them and Tao Pai Pai distracts him with a puzzle before him and Mr. Vodka drive off to a remote location. Goku solves the rings and gets the Dragon Balls without any trouble.
