@takashichea: Thanks for the warning :D You havent spoiled it XD

Although the plot line was rushed in some parts, I overall enjoyed the series (Season 1 more than season 2 though) :D It still kinda bugs me how Asuna looked perfectly fine after waking up whereas Kirito was all scrawny and grey....they should've made Asuna the same as well; it'd be more realistic and it would show that despite her sickly appearance, Kirito would still love her. But I guess the producers didn't want to disappoint the fanboys :/ I still feel bad for Sugu 'til the end :( I guess she'll have to gradually get over Kirito

It'd be cool to see another season of this but with different characters :D

Sword Art Online's two main heroines

Haha I did not realize that was Asuna until you pointed it out...I was like "Who's this blue-haired girl..was she from the first season?" XD

After trying Sword Art Online and Accel World, which you think is Reki Kawahara's better work?

I'd have to say Sword Art Online. When you watch Accel World it's great until the middle. The whole middle spoiled it for me. I think it could have easily been better than SAO if it wasn't for the middle to near end. Everything else is great though. But because of the middle to near end, SAO takes it easily. I prefer the main female in AW to Asuna though.

Kuroyikihime ftw!!! Love her design and her character.

As for me, I am torn. While I think that SAO had generally better animation (even though the animation level of AW was also quite high but SAO's was slightly better) and I liked the main character more (Haru just came off as quite whiny several times), AW had much better pacing. So I can't really decide.

Also it is highly possible that AW and SAO, take place in the same universe, with SAO happening in the past and AW in the future.

@takashichea:

i wonder why all the players just don't come together and beat the game

@Galenbeta: maybe because its too risky

So...SWORD Art Online is going to be in a game with guns now? Seems rather odd, but hey let's roll with it.

@Vapovile:

Kirito is undergoing some gender issues if you know what I mean.

Post by Vapovile (1,729 posts) See mini bio Level 16

@takashichea: ...THAT's Kirito?! So who is the other girl next to him? Heh, maybe since he is a girl in this season, he will have more personality than a cardboard box with a smiley face drawn on the front.

@Vapovile:

Oh, silly me. I forgot to post this trailer for you. That's why I bumped this old thread. I thought SAO II will come this spring, but with the latest rumor on Crunchyroll, I was not sure.

The girl is his new love interest for his harem. Her name is Shino Asada.

Post by Vapovile (1,729 posts) See mini bio Level 16

@takashichea: Huh, since Kirito is a girl in this game, it kind of makes me wonder if the other girl is really a dude in real life. That would make for quite the awkward social dynamic between fem-Kirito and the other guy, who thinks that he is a she. I'll keep an eye out for it, even if it's mostly to see the impressive visuals and Kirito to become the blandest Harem protagonist in anime.

Pilot for SAO 2 was not bad an I think it can be summed up with this video..

I had to watch this show even though it's hyped and full of flaws. Still, the Gun Gale Online pilot wasn't bad. I found Asuna and Kirito's scenes unbearable. It feels fake. I didn't mind the scientist and his scenes. Then, we see another love interest in the pseudo harem with fan service.

I only liked half of SAO I, but I didn't hate the show, so I'm back for series 2! I wanted to jump right into things, and discuss the murders. I haven't read anything concerning SAO, so what I say is just based on me watching the anime. To those who have read it, it will be clear that I don't know jack squat. So what I think is happening with the Death Gun is that Kirito shows Asuna that there are these objects placed around Japan. They look somewhat like traffic cameras. I think that since a virtual bullet cannot kill a human in real life, and the new VR headsets are not like the ones from the first SAO, these cameras are somehow being hacked to affect the lives of the Death Gun victims. How that is happening, I don't know yet. Don't have enough evidence to back my claim.
