Greeting fellow vicers! and a fine christmas for all. ARD here and i got some pretty interesting news. I'm sure you guys are already finding some new animes to watch after the final episode of SAO. I'm also currently watching animes that i missed during the spread of the Sword Art Madness that started during july like Kokoro Connect . Anyways back to the main topic... Recently i heard "Rumors" in the net that apparently after the end of SAO there has been word that Season 2 has been already confirmed. And i don't mean the ALfheim online arc, that's part of the 1st season. What i mean is Season 2 will feature the arc which is Gun Gale Online! or GGO!

My thoughts about this....

Actually i kinda find this news a bit too fast and unsure. I mean due to immense world wide popularity in the Otaku society and anime forums, Sword art online is the most popular anime this year so i would already conclude that Season 2 is a Big possibility. Whether you guys love the series or not, It will happen. But i'm just to curious why would they announce season 2 to quickly. Is It beacuse of the Fans non-stop support of this show or is it beacuse that A-1 pictures (the animation studio) gets the big amount of cash to start on making season 2. I would have guess that they would announce it next year in Spring 2013 but to my surprise they announce it already. This is just a rumor so dont get to over-hype about it. Even i have mixed reactions regarding this rumor

Anyways i'l give the backround about it and what to expect in the next arc.

Mostly Gun gale use mainly on guns (obviously) but melee weapons will be available for use so expect lots of action .

A new added companion(cough...Harem...cough) Asada Sinon. She has a very bad experience in her childhood so she use GGO as her way of trying to remove her fear of guns. Also has slight Androphobia. How will this affect her relationship with kirito

Well guys thanking you for reading. Now that Sword Art Online is finished, i can now catch up with anime that missed. Same goes for you guys who missed some very interesting animes this year. And if the Rumor is a whole lie then i made this for nothing. But still i would make it cause Season 2 is happening. Well then Guys Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year. WIth how popular it turned out to be, I am pretty sure that Sword Art Online will receive a 2nd season. That reminds me....I still need to watch it -_-

Not really surprised if this is actually the case. Would love to see the Gun Gale and the Underworld arcs animated and Kirito as a girl lol Don't really think it was that fast tbh. If the anime was really that popular and that seems to be the case, most likely they had already decided to make a second season before it was over. I'll check it. Sure SAO had its problems but it was still enjoyable.

Maybe this is what Kirito said to Sugu and Asuna at the finale "Hey girls, don't know if you heard that as well but apparently SAO is getting another season, so you get to fight over me for another 25 episodes" ;)

this was going to happen whether they admit it now or later, SAO had a squeal green lighted before it even started. I dont even know if I can deal with another season of this dribble, but either way if money had to go to a studio might as well be one like A-1 pictures damn good people working there.

Update: Sorry guys but apparently there is no actual confirmation regarding SAO season 2 yet. So it might be next year that SAO might be anounced. I did some research on Dengeki Online and Anime news network, and i cant find any news about it. Makes feel bad about posting the rumor. Lets just wait and see for further anoucements regarding the new season.

The same for me. The reason why i kept watching SAO was beacause i wanted to see also some conflicts between kirito's relationship with Asuna and who will he really end up it. Go team Kirito and Suguha!

Actually he got a rare type of avatar. He is still using a male avatar, its just that he just really looks like girl for some weird reason....

@sickVisionz: kirito and sinon have to deal with a mysterious enemy who player kills and at the same dies in the real world. or maybe it is because they have Player vs Player type of game. I thinks that is the divine force of GGO. or its the fact they want to see kirito as a girl LOL!
