Suzu

Origin

Suzu was born and raised on the island of Airantou. Both her mother and her father are deceased, so, she lives alone in a house away from the village.

Creation

Nagasarete Airantou Vol. 1 JPN (Jan 2003)

Suzu is a main character in the Nagasarete Airantou series that was created by Takeshi Fujishiro. The series first began serialization in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine in January 2002.

Her first appearance was in Nagasarete Airantou Volume 1 CH. 1 "Drifted Away", and her first anime appearance was in Nagasarete Airantou - Episode 1 "Drifted to Paradise!?". Her character in the Japanese series is voiced by Yui Horie.

Character Evolution

She is a sweet, somewhat naive girl. She is not the smartest and skips school as often as possible because she is unable to do basic mathematics. She loves sweets and her favorite food are Mame Daifuku. She was taught Jujutsu by the Southern Leader on the island. She has a little pet piglet named Tonkatsu.

Major Story Arcs

She saves Ikuto's life when he washes up onshore. She is the first to meet him and also the closest to him. She quickly develops feelings for him and tries to protect him from the other girls on the island.
