Plot Summary

Wakana sees her father all dressed up for the concert, and Keisuke gives her lunch. Wakana looks at her mother's portrait and bids her farewell. Meanwhile, Taichi gets ready, Sawa's father tests out the camera, and Konatsu messes with her stuffed whale. Atsuhiro reaches the entrance of the school. Shortly afterwards, Atsuhiro's group meet up at the front of the school. Taichi learns from Hamada that the gym's doors are locked. A gentlemen spots Taichi trying to hop over the gate, and he introduces himself as the chairman to Konatsu's group. The chairman mocks the children, and Principal Ikezaki arrives and apologizes to Konatsu's group. When the chairman talks down about education, Ikezaki begs them to let them sing. When Ikezaki slips while begging the chairman, Ikezaki accidentally pulls down the chairman's pants. He crumbles up their paper, and Naoko arrives to inform them that the choir group will be their pillar of support. She asks Konatsu to let her conduct at her play. Once the rain stops, she tells Konatsu that they will guide the guests. When the chairman states that no one will show up, Keisuke and a few others arrive to front entrance. Konatsu's group meet up with Ueno and Nanae's group, and the everyone else makes preparations for the festival.

Once all the guests arrives, Wakana begins narrating the play, and Konatsu and Sawa do their lines. Then, Taichi and Atsuhiro comes out to do their lines. While the choir group line up and Naoko prepares to conduct, Wakana's group begins singing. When the pace picks up, Wakana and everyone sing their hearts out, and the crowd is amazed with the musical's beautiful cacophony. Afterwards, Sawa is seen practicing English, Wakana tosses a coin, Konatsu studies, and Atsuhiro finds a letter from Jan. Over at the beach, Taichi runs happily because he has been accepted to his dream school. The girls ask Sawa what she will do after graduation, and Sawa replies that she will study abroad. Sawa informs them that she will move out of Japan next month and tells Taichi that she will stay as long as it takes. Wakana and Konatsu pat Sawa on her butt. Over at the airport, everyone bid Sawa with tears, and Taichi gives her a personal farewell. Wakana's group leaves Taichi to let him get some time alone.

Over at the school, Wakana gives Naoko her sheet music (Melody of the Heart), and Naoko recalls the fond memories of Mahiru. Wakana reveals Mahiru's sheet music and asks Naoko to help her after graduation. Naoko gladly accepts. After graduation, the group takes a photo shoot while Sawa watches the whole scene via laptop. Then, Konatsu's group sings for Sawa, and Sawa joins in.

  • Mahiru and Hamachi are seen, but no seiyuu is needed since they haven't spoke a line.

The episode plays with the credits and ending song playing. Wakana studies hard with Naoko, Taichi practices hard, Atsuhiro reunites with Jan, and Konatsu is seen at college. A compilation of clips from previous episodes plays. Then, a scene reveals a grown-up Wakana coming home to her father.
