Perhaps the greatest past-time in Anime, eating is often done in more lighthearted moments as a source of humor or as a way of showing togetherness with characters, usually involving characters who can eat insane amounts of food and not gain an ounce. |

Fan Service is often a sexually provocative moment or pose that takes place in manga and anime. It usually has no real purpose to a story, and serves as a lurid visual. |

A fortune teller is a person with divine or magical powers who can tell various bits of personal information about an unknown person. She/he can tell the future, more often she/he can see one of many potential futures. Sometimes objects like tarot cards, tea leaves, crystal balls are used to assist the fortune teller in his/her reading. |

A character, often cold and harsh on the outside; but swirling with feelings inside. Much like an igloo, they keep an ice-cold wall, in an ice-cold world; just to protect the warmth inside. |

The character is in higher rank. in hiearchy. Either he/she's an officer or simply marked as a leader of the group. He/she's the one making the important decisions ragarding the group or organisation he/she's leading. |

Many times in anime and manga, the protagonist of the series will not know who their parent is, or just think they're a regular person, only to later discover that they were a legendary figure or had incredible powers. |

Magic is an often used term in fiction. It is the concept of affecting the universe through supernatural methods and breaking the physical laws. |

Magical Girl
A fantasy sub-genre that features girls who magically transform into super-heroines and combat evil. |

Military
The force of defense and offense of a nation. Are mostly equiped with the best weapons that the nation can provide. |

Moe
Moe (pronounce moh-eh) is a Japanese slang term for something one likes, and within the anime realm is used to refer to characters who inspire a protective sort of love-- usually because the characters seem to need someone to take care of them. |

Monster of the Day
A concept seen in Magical Girl and Tokatsu series where a hero or heroine faces a different monster sent after them each day. |

Mother
A woman who has given birth to or raised a child. |

Neuroi
Neuroi are an alien force of the Strike Witches series. Their purpose for their invasion is never made clear, but they can take on many forms and can infect vehicles from Earth. |
