As an avowed - - and spectacularly documented - - STREET FIGHTER fan, I want to put it out there that my far-fetched wish was that CAPCOM would celebrate the 25 anniversary of the brand by announcing a new game that’d offer a possible conclusion to the saga. A STREET FIGHER OMEGA, as it were, that offered a hypothetical endpoint.
If Richie’s wish for Toonami’s return can come true, then damn it, why can’t that?
Barring any surprise announcements at E3, it looks like this box set’s going to be the only product offered to commemorate the occasion. Running at around $150 a pop and with Akuma’s infamous sigil marking its case, this September, the box will offer a more-or-less cumulative STREET FIGHTER experience within its tidy confines.

There’s a puzzling lack of anything STREET FIGHTER ALPHA-related here, but I find it more amusing that there’s nothing pertaining to the first STREET FIGHTER game. How many multi-million dollar franchises have ever started with a game so terrible, nobody even wants to play it for nostalgia’s sake?
