Soccer Anime Scores a Prime-Time Goal

The kids anime Inazuma Eleven, based on the soccer game for Nintendo DS by Level Five (who is also working on a pair of anime films for its Professor Layton games0, has just gotten some excellent news: starting April it'll be moving from its Sunday morning slot to one on Wednesday prime-time, starting with a TV special airing on April 8.


If you didn't note the date, you may be interested to know that this move is shortly before Japan's Golden Week, whose first holiday is April 29 and last is May 6. Coincidence? I think not. Obviously the show is popular-- I wonder how it would do in the US? We don't like soccer as much...
