A Decepticon Communications Officer who is able to detect and jam radio transmissions all across the energy spectrum. His alternate mode is a Cassette Player (originally, it is now a jet).
The loyal communications officer to Megatron, Soundwave was loyal to his master without question. He was one of the Decepticons who joined Megatron on the boarding party that attacked the crew of the Ark, all Autobots and Decepticons aboard the Ark crash landed on Earth, millions of years later, the Autobots and Decepticons were once again awaken in the 1980's.
Soundwave is a Decepticon who rules his own planet, he is assisted by Laserbeak and Buzzsaw drones.

Soundwave is a character created by Hasbro/Takara Tomy/Marvel Comics. Soundwave was created by Bob Budianksy, who created and named hundreds of other Transformers as well. Meanwhile Shinji Aramaki was credited for his toy design along with his cassette minions.
