Overview

So, I Can't Play H! is an anime adaptation of the light novel series written by Pan Tachibana and illustrated by Yoshiaki Katsurai. The anime is produced by feel. and directed by Takeo Takahashi, in Japan it aired on July 6, 2012 on AT-X and other networks.

Licensing

Crunchyroll began a simulcast on July 14, 2012. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for home video release in North America.

Plot

Ryosuke Kaga is a perverted student at Momozomo Academy. One rainy day he meets a beautiful girl with long red hair. Her name is Lisara Restall, an elite Shinigami who is searching the human world for special humans with abnormally high spirit energy, which Shinigami need to absorb in order to stay in the human world and use their powers. After unwittingly making a contract with Lisara, Ryosuke loses his sexual desire whenever Lisara absorbs his energy. In order to get his erotic spirit back for good, Ryosuke has no choice but to help Lisara.

		The main protagonist, Ryosuke is a second-year student infamous for his perverseness at Momozomo Academy. He forms a contract with Lisara, a Shinigami, which allows her to use his spirit energy. Because Ryosuke's energy comes from his libido, he loses his sexual drive when his energy is absorbed, but this also leads to him developing methods of recharging it quickly. His fate is to die in three months time, but Lisara agrees to try to save him if he helps her.
		Lisara Restall (リサラ・レストール Risara Resutōru) Voiced by: Aya Endo Race: Shinigami Gender: Female
		A beautiful elite Shinigami who needs human spirit energy to stay in the human world and use her powers. She wields a scythe called "Carnun Pladur" to fight and uses the hilt half of Gram (the sword of the God of War) to form a contract with Ryosuke. She is searching for special specimens with abnormally high spirit energy and believes one is at Ryosuke's school.
		Mina Okura (大倉 美菜 Ōkura Mina) Voiced by: Kaori Ishihara Race: Human Gender: Female
		Ryosuke's childhood friend and classmate. She is very busty and sometimes has to deal with attention from boys at school, but Ryosuke looks after her. Ryosuke's perverted nature doesn't bother her at all, rather, she understands how Ryosuke treasures and wants to protect girls, and she loves him deeply. She forms a contract with Quele, her spirit energy comes from her love for Ryosuke.
		Quele Sellier (キュール・ゼリア Kyūru Zeria) Voiced by: Arisa Nishiguchi Race: Shinigami Gender: Female
		Another Shinigami, Quele is Lisara's distant cousin, but she calls Lisara "Onee-sama" as they are more like sisters. She wields a gladius (a Roman short sword) called "Carnun Solace" and forms a contract with Mina. She is younger than Lisara, and not all of her Shinigami abilities are fully developed. She develops feelings for Ryosuke, which Mina quickly notices.
		Iria Fukumune (福宗 イリア Fukumune Iria) Voiced by: Misato Fukuen Race: Shinigami Gender: Female
		Iria is Lisara's rival from her school years at Grimwald. She wields a falchion (a single-edged European sword) called "Frotty" and poses as a pop idol in the human world. She uses her huge bust size to tease Lisara and seduce Ryosuke to form a contract with her instead. However, her breasts are revealed to be magically augmented and they're really smaller than Lisara's. She has a thick accent which she usually disguises, but seemingly reverts to when she loses her composure.
