Anime Laws of Physics

Bathing Scene
Bathing Scenes, while occasionally meaningful to plot or character development, are generally excuses for fan service. |
|
|
Clothing Damage
When a character's clothes become torn from an attack, such as an explosion or energy blast. |
|
|
Collateral Damage
Collateral Damage is a military term describing a situation where soldiers destroy property or kill civilians by accident or on purpose. Example:Dragon Ball Z, there is a lot of property damages and lives lost when Majin Buu blows up the whole city. |

|
Comedy
Nearly every anime has a comedic moment here or there. Everyone likes to laugh. |
|
|
Crazy
Characters with serious long mental unstabilities. They're sometimes simply weird but recently they're portrayed as downright homicidiacs. Not to be confused with the Mentally Unstable where the character fights against it and usually wins. |

|
Crying
What someone does when upset/sad. Sometimes people can also cry from sheer joy. |
|
|
Damsel In Distress
A maiden is in peril and only her one true hero can save her. |
|
|
Dominatrix
A Dominatrix is a woman who takes on the dominating role in a sexual relationship. They attain sexual gratification out of abusing or humiliating a submissive. |

|
Energy Blast
A character can harness their power and shoot energy-based projectiles from their body. |
|
|
Explosion
Explosions are featured in a wide array of anime/manga, created from various weapons/attacks. |
|
|
Fan Service
Fan Service is often a sexually provocative moment or pose that takes place in manga and anime. It usually has no real purpose to a story, and serves as a lurid visual. |

|
Flashback
Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback. |

|
Ghosts
A ghost is a dead persons spirit that roams the earth usually attached to where they died or refusing to go to the after life until there are finished on earth. |

|
Magic
Magic is an often used term in fiction. It is the concept of affecting the universe through supernatural methods and breaking the physical laws. |
|
|
Manga Iconography
Common visual conventions seen in manga and anime to convey emotions, often for comical effect. |
|
|
Mech
Generally refers to a large, usually humanoid weapon-type robot, usually piloted from within. |
|
|
Speech
Public speaking is the process of speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain the listeners. |
|
|
Spellcasters
The character is adept at casting magic. In addition using spells is an integral part of his/her fighting style |
|
|
Vampires
Blood sucking creatures of the night, although not always evil necessarily. They are a staple of countless anime and manga series. |
|
|
War
The massive battle of death between 2 factions or nations. Can either be because of religion, need for power or wealth, hatred of the other faction/nation etc. |

|
Werewolf
A Werewolf or Werwolf or even"Lycanthrope" is a mythical human with the ability to transform into a wolf or humanoid wolf, it is created when a human is bitten or scratched by another werewolf, or even put under a curse. |

|
Zombies
Zombies are an undead rotting corpse that is alive yet dead and have voracious appetites for living flesh. |
