Skypiea is a Sky Island on the White Sea and Grand Line. Normally made up of hyper dense clouds that support everything that is built upon it. It is also home to Upper Yard, a massive section of land that actually was once part of the island of Jaya.
Origin
The large sky island located within the White Sea high above the seas of the Grand Line, Skypiea is home to a unique race of people who have wings and live under the rule of "God". At the time the Straw Hat Pirates arrive at Skypiea after riding the Knock-Up Stream from the Grand Line, the realm has fallen under the rule of the God Enel, who cares little about the people of Skypiea and desires only true domination.
Creation
Skypiea was originally created by Eiichiro Oda for use in the One Piece manga franchise. It first appears in both One Piece: Volume 26 and in One Piece: Episode 154.
