Kyoko Mogami follows Sho Fuwa to Tokyo to help him reach his dream to become an idol. She cooks, cleans, has 3 jobs & never does anything for herself. One day, she goes to his agency to give him food, and overhears Sho say she was just a maid.
Skip Beat! is originally shoujo manga that is written and created by Yoshiki Nakamura. It is directed by Kiyoko and produced by Hal Film Maker. It originally airs on the Japanese networks, TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, TV Osaka, and several others. The original run spans from October 5, 2008 to March 29, 2009 with 25 episodes.
Since the anime has not been licensed in North American for dubbing, it is available to audiences outside of Japan through Crunchyroll, a legal streaming website.
It revolves around a young girl named Kyoko Mogami who follows Sho Fuwa, her childhood friend, to Tokyo. Sho Fuwa is working his way to become an idol, and Kyoko is supporting him by working three jobs.
One day, Kyoko arrives to Sho's agency to drop off food, and she overhears Sho's conversation with his manager. Sho remarks that he only took Kyoko as a maid and that he doesn't care for her. After hearing the truth, Sho begins to change her appearances and joins the Idol business to take revenge against Sho for using her.
