Sket Dance

Overview

In this volume, we are introduced to the Sket Dance, a campus group that helps various students and people with their problems, as well as the the three who make up the group. These three are: Himeko, the bat-wielding, candy-eating tough girl of the group, Switch, the tech-savvy resident bishie of the group, and Bossun, their charismatic and childlike leader. Together, they get caught up in a variety of adventures and escapades all around school.

The manga is written by Kenta Shinohara. It premiered in Shuiesha's Weekly Shonen Jump on August 28, 2006.

The series begins its serialization in July 2007 in a Shuiesha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine as a manga.

Bossun

The charismatic leader and founder of the Sket Dan. Bossun is cheerful and prone to making odd facial expressions. He has resolved to help people to the best of his ability for the rest of his life. Bossun is also very talented at many things, such as art, sports, and music. He also has the power of "intense concentration", and incredible accuracy with a slingshot.

Himeko

A member of the Sket Dan. Himeko is never seen without a lollipop in her mouth and her trusty hockey stick by her side. She is the brawn of the Sket Dan, since her physical strength is superior to that of either of the two guys. Himeko can be temperamental, but she does care for the other two members of the Sket Dan.

Switch

A member of the Sket Dan. Switch speaks only through his computer, or, if lacking his computer, flash cards and drawings. He is the brains of the Sket Dan, and can be counted on to think of a rational plan. Switch is also an immense otaku, often engaging in discussions on forums while the other two members have discussions.
