Byakuya Kuchiki is the 28th head of the noble Kuchiki Clan, one of the four great noble families of the Soul Society; and the Captain of the Gotei 13's 6th Division.

Ichigo Kurosaki is the main character of the Manga Bleach. Having received Shinigami powers from Rukia Kuchiki, Ichigo takes it upon himself to protect souls from the evil Hollow.

Kira Izuru is the Vice-Captain of the 3rd Protection Squad of Soul Society. Responsible, serious and somewhat insecure, Kira struggles to hold the 3rd Division together and deal with the betrayal of his former Captain, Ichimaru Gin.

Retsu Unohana is Captain of the 4th Division in the Gotei 13. She is gentle and polite. She helps both enemies and allies when they are injured after battles.

Rukia is a prideful Soul Reaper (Shinigami) with a particularly beautiful sword. One fateful day, she temporarily transfers her powers to Ichigo to save his family. They have shared a special bond ever since.

Sajin Komamura is the Captain of the 7th Protection Squad of Soul Society. He differs from his peers in that he is not human, but an anthropomorphic fox. Trustworthy, loyal, and kind, Komamura was deeply hurt by the betrayal of his best friend and fellow Captain, Kaname Tousen.

Shin'etsu Kisaragi was a Shinigami from the First Division and the father of Shūsuke Amagai.

The Captain of the 8th division in the Gotei 13, and successor to Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryusai as Captain Commander of Gotei 13.

Soi Fon is the Captain of the 2nd Protection Squad of Soul Society and Commander of the Special Forces. She is stern and cold with her subordinates and unyielding in her devotion to the laws of Soul Society. Soi Fon is a master of shunpo and hand-to-hand combat.

Yoruichi Shihoin was the former Captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei13 as well as the former Commander of the Onmitsukidō. She abandoned her position to aid her friends Kisuke Urahara and Tessai.
