Those who like the occasional Japanese-type horror movie, accompanied by mediocre effects and a less-than-apropriate ost, will certainly find this movie enjoyable. However those who have seen Higurashi no naku koro ni and ..koro ni kai Anime would be greatly disappointed. Even though the actors looked way better than the not so well drawn charas in the Anime, I found it difficult to associate the scenes with the originals. But let's face it; so far, all Anime based full feature movies and series are complete crapola. It's time that Hollywood stuck some millions into the production of one so that everyone worldwide are able to enjoy the intricate plots often associated with Anime... alas, yet another shame to the game...
