So, I was stumbling around a variety of bookmarks, and I discover a headline on 2ch about an event for a manga called Shounen Maid. And, well, you know how much I love a good trap, and I know some of you share my predilection, soooo...
Not entirely unlike a gender-swap version of Kaichou wa Maid-sama in some ways, Shounen Maid is about a hard-up young man, orphaned Chihiro, whose sloppy but wealthy uncle attempts to take care of him. Chihiro, however, rejects his uncle's offer, saying that if his impoverished mother didn't want to deal with the family, he doesn't either.
So Chihiro's uncle decides to hire him on as a housekeeper...and makes him wear a maid outfit. Well, sorta: it's a hairpiece and a mildly frilly top plus apron, but Chihiro wears shorts under it.
I really dig the art, which is pretty adorable, and it looks like a fun light-hearted comedy based on the three chapters you can flip through at the B's-LOG website-- the anthology that Shounen Maid is serialized in (a shoujo pub with some light-BL titles). If you're curious, by the way, the headline was about a promo event taking place at an actual cross-dressing maid cafe.
So, what do you think? Sound like something you might enjoy?
