Shirley Fenette is a student at Ashford Academy and a member of the student council. A happy girl who is in love with Lelouch, and eventually dies in his arms.
Shirley is a student at Ashford Academy and a member of the student council there. She is good friends with and has a huge crush on Lelouch Lamperouge but is notoriously awkward at expressing her feelings, which is just as well, as Lelouch is mostly oblivious to her affections.
After her father becomes an accidental casualty in an incident involving the Black Knights, Shirley is devastated. To make matters worse, a Britannian soldier, Villetta Nu, tips off to her that Lelouch may be involved with the Black Knights, causing Shirley to go investigate. After confirming this fact, Shirley ends up shooting Villetta in a fit of desperation to protect Lelouch's indentity as Zero even though she is further crippled by this revelation. Mao takes advantage of Shirley's vulnerability in order to taunt Lelouch, but Lelouch ends up Geassing Shirley to forget him completely in order to spare her the grief.
A year later, Jeremiah's anti-geass incidentally restores Shirley's memories. Before she is able to confront Lelouch again, she is intercepted by Rolo, who judges her knowledge to be a threat despite that she expresses a wish to protect Lelouch and help him reunite with Nunally. Hearing this Rolo becomes angry and shoots her. Lelouch then finds her before she dies and tries to use his geass on her to make her continue to live but it doesn't work and she slowly dies in Lelouchs arms.
