History
Before the beginning of the series, Izumi both participated in the Gantz hunts and Was able to win his freedom. From the information left behind on Nishi's website, Izumi was able to figure out that he was once a member of a gantz team. While Looking For Kei Kurono To Confirm His findings, He encountered A "Shorty alien" that had infiltrated the school to take Kei's Life. He attacked the alien and Forced it to Abandon it's disguse, But soon after he was overpowered. It was this incident that caused izumi to try and rejoin Gantz, and Led to the Massacre At Shinjuku square. Personality
Izumi Is conceited and self centered, but will pretend to be kind and caring outside of Gantz. Like many of the experienced Gantz hunters, he cares little for anyone but himself and had no remorse for the killing of innocents During the Shinjuku incident. Hunting method
When izumi is hunting he primarily Uses his cloaking field and Does stealth kills with his Katana. He has no objection to using his teammates as Bait.
