Shinigami-sama

Origins

Not much is known about Shinigami-sama's past. It is known that Shinigami battled against the witches with a group of meisters he had trained and the Mysterious Eibon. After the meister Asura gave into his madness and became a Kishin, Shinigami was forced to lock Asura in his own skin. Shinigami used the immense power of his soul to seal Asura away at the cost of his own freedom. Shinigami then opened up Shibusen and created Death City in order to train more meisters to prevent the spread of madness and hunt the witches.

Character Evolution

In the past Shinigami was known as a fearsome warrior and the most powerful wielder of a Death Scythe. However, after starting up Shibusen Shinigami changed his appearance to a much lighter almost comedic tone stating that his old look scared the children attending school. Shinigami can no longer leave Death City to fight and instead sends out students to destroy evil beings and prevent madness. Even Shinigami's manner of speaking has taken on a much lighter tone. However, when prompted Shinigami can become deathly serious
