Shiho made her appearance when she and the other members of Cryptanalysis Squad were assigned to decipher Jiraiya's message.
Creation

Shiho is a supporting character from the Naruto series that was created by Masashi Kishimoto. It first began serialization Weekly Shonen Jump in November 1999. She has not made another appearance ever since her debut. Little information is known about her character's creation.
She first appeared in Naruto Volume 44, CH. 406 "The Key to the Future", and her first anime appearance was inNarutoShippuden - Episode 153"Following the Master's Shadow". Her character in the Japanese series is voiced by Shiho Hisajima, and the U.S. dub produced by VIZ Media has yet to announce her voice actress.
Shiho shares the same given name has her voice actress, Shiho Hisajima.
Major Story Arc
Invasion of Pain
When Hidden Leaf Village received Jiraiya's last message, which was in code, nobody could decipher it. Cryptanalysis Squad was assigned and Shiho was part of the team. Shikamaru also tried to help but even he could not solve the right combination behind the Jiraiya's code. With help of Naruto, Shiho figured out that the Jiraiya's codes are based on his book. Shiho asks Kakashi to read the embarrassing lines from the books and as result the message was "The real one isn't with them".
