The Shiemi Blog #2

As you may know this is the Shiemi blog (for those who don't know who Shiemi is, she is a character in the Blue Exorcist franchise) also I wrote a previous blog post of this. The link is here.

In the previous blog post, I wrote about her relationships with Rin and Yukio Okumura; her role in the series 'Blue Exorcist' (Ao no Exorcist) and a bit about her. This time I am writing about her relationship with Izumo and Paku.

Her relationship with Izumo and Paku started when Rin told Shiemi to make some other friends, in this case she tried to befriend Izumo and Paku. Izumo didn't want to hang around with Shiemi, although Paku didn't mind. Although one day, a demon came into the dormitory and attacked Paku. While Izumo and Rin attacked the demon, Shiemi healed Paku as much as she could. After that, Izumo felt that she couldn't do anything good for Paku.

This is it for the 2nd blog post, please comment on what you want me to put in the maybe-next post.

The Shiemi Blog #1

Shiemi came to academy
Shiemi came to academy

Hello! As you know I am a Blue Exorcist/Ao no Exorcist fan, I was thinking of making a blog about either one of the characters in Blue Exorcist (I have only watched the anime so all I know is basically from the anime) so I chose Shiemi Moriyama. Me and have been commenting and posting pictures of Shiemi on one of the photos I uploaded of her.

I like Shiemi because she tries so hard to do things right and I find her kind and helpful.

I personally think that Shiemi and Rin Okumura are a good couple, some people may think that Yukio Okumura and Shiemi are a good couple. Comment if you agree or disagree.

Comment about anything you like about Shiemi or really anything about the anime series of Blue Exorcist or Shiemi!

Hey guys and gals, it has been a year since the Blue Exorcist project was started on July 2011. I finished the last two episodes which were episode 9 and 11 by 9-23-12. The reason for the late project completion is that we're busy with school and other wiki projects. Then, I forgot about Blue Exorcist for a while until I wrote the Beginner Guide for the series.

Teammates

Annabanana
Annabanana

Annabanana is my teammate on this project, and she is a cool wiki editor who did major work on the wiki pages with me. I enjoy working with her on Fairy Tail, Sket Dance, and a lot of wiki projects since we shared a lot of favorite shonen titles. Now, Anna is busy, and I'm making sure that these projects that I work with her and my teammates are finished.

Other Wiki Editors

The wiki editors below are independent.

Synopsis

For those who are new to Blue Exorcist:

Rin Okumura is a fifteen-year-old delinquent who cannot hold onto a part-time job. Despite his fundamentally good nature, he has problems controlling his temper, and is often called a demon by his peers.

After losing his latest prospective job, Rin clashes with an upper-class bully who turns out to be possessed by a demon named Astaroth, who reveals that Rin is in fact a demon in more than name, and that furthermore he is the son of Satan, the "demon of demons" himself. Rin is rescued by his adoptive father, Shiro Fujimoto, the head priest of the local monastery.

Shiemi's funny frown!
Shiemi's funny frown!

Okay, first of all this blog post is kind of about why I love Blue Exorcist so much. So for a starter, the characters are awesome! Well, even Paku and Izumo(?) but the one thats my all time favorite is... to be honest Rin or Shiemi. Shiemi is funny because once in the anime (which im sad because they havent made another series yet:( ) she does a very funny frown! This picture is at the left hand side next to this writing basically. And for Rin, he cares about birds. Sorry that was a weird thing to say xD, I like him because, well yes one he cares about birds!, two he swears a lot of the time which isn't really something to say about to like him but... I wrote it anyway! Thirdly he cares about Shiemi, does Shiemi love Rin? Or Yukio? That's a question you can say in the comments!! Didn't say much about them two, especially Shiemi so here's a personality list for Shiemi! ^_^

Shiemi is good at cooking I hear but I think so anyway and of course healing! Brilliant with gardens, yes so :) what else to write? Hope you come back to my next blog about Blue Exorcist as well! (This one wasnt very good and it was short)

Rin has a crush on Shiemi, on the other hand, Yukio has also feelings for Shiemi ? I sometimes wonder, she is so lucky ! >.<

Overview

Welcome to the fifth and final weekly article for Blue Exorcist! The anime has ended already, and I ask you guys, is it a good, bad, or neutral ending. It is a short anime whose manga counterpart has not taken a big lead away from it. How are you guys are eager for the movie? We'll see if the movie is the ultimate end to the anime or not.

More good news, Anna and I are relieved that we're almost done with the project. That only means Fairy Tail, Beelzebub, and Sket Dance and college for us and for our teammates, we get to spend more time with them. Let's go over the episode!

Plot

As the final hours run, Satan is on a rampage to unify Gehenna and Assiah to fulfill his dreams with Yuri, and Yukio, Rin, and their friends fight the horde demons and him.

Will Yukio and Rin defeat Satan and end their family problems for good? Tune in and watch Blue Exorcist 25!

Verdict

Beware of mild spoilers!

Good

Bon gives Rin noogie. Awesome!
Bon gives Rin noogie. Awesome!
  • Ryuji (Bon)'s shining moment is pretty creative since his role in the anime is limited.
  • More action but less suspense with Arthur, Rin, Shura, and Yukio taking on the whole army.
  • In the end, Yukio and Rin visits a special person's grave. An excellent scene where Rin and Yukio learn about their origin; Rin teaches Yukio to be grateful.

Bad

  • There's a lack of challenge in the fight even though they had some difficulty in reaching Satan. I say episode 24 has better fight scenes.
  • Some people can argue that the ending is a bit predictable and ends like a movie.

Bizarre and Unfinished Questions

Old man's identity
Old man's identity
  • Mephisto's wagers do not make sense. Shiro wins Mephisto's bet to raise the children as human, and what is Shiro's award anyways.
  • The old man's identity is presumed to be Faust due to the myths about a man who sold his soul for all the knowledge. Yet, in this anime, the wager is about eternal youth. It remains a mystery.
  • Takara returns to talking with the hand puppet. His talk about Satan appears to be for informational purposes.
  • Arthur's sword stops talking. No innuendos or dirty talk?
  • Also, Amaimon has not return to normal. Does that mean he remains as a hamster forever?
  • Interestingly, all the anime exclusive characters are dead. Igor (who's in both) has an unknown status whether he's alive or not.
  • Who put that yellow flower on Yuri' s grave before Yukio and Rin can visit?

Overall, the ending is not that bad nor that good. The epilogue of the ending is a nice closure for Yukio and Rin's hunt for their origin, but I feel that the anime is a bit rushed. I was expecting a showdown, but episode 24 has most of the suspense and action.

What do you guys think? What's your favorite moments or bad ones? Feel free to talk, spoilers or not.

Thanks

I thank you guys for reading this and being active. You guys are awesome! Please see our work on episode 25. Anna did the formatting while I added the meat: plot summary, the rest of the stuff, and images. I thank my partner, Anna, for sticking with me to the very end.

Wiki Progress: Everything has plot, characters, and more except for episode 9 and 11. As for characters, Anna and I will have to read the manga.

Blue Exorcist Recognition Blog

Welcome to another lovely recognition blog.

Purpose: Like all of the recognition blogs, rekindle the flame into the Anime Vice community and to boost morale of wiki editors.

Once we get the team form and things moving along, this franchise's wiki pages will join the other franchises the circle of Anime Vice life.

Wiki Editors and their main contributions

Franchise, Anime, and Manga/ and its volumes

A team vitae list keeps an organized data of all of the little contributions to the characters, concepts, objects, and more. The only thing it cannot do is keeping track of episodes and volumes. This table will be organized in alphabetical order. Right now, I leave some areas blank since I cannot tell the specific contributions.

Characters

This is the same layout as the Team Blue Exorcist Vitae list. I'm experimenting with adding the list onto the blog using the new editor. The problems is that the list is very long.

Note: The list is edited differently from the actual vitae list to make it more subjective and third person.

4. Kamiki Izumo
  • (Created by ? before this list)
  • Takashichea added her origin, creation, story arcs (ep. 7).
  • Annabanana, Obsidian609, and Juuhachi worked on it as well.
5. Konekomaru Miwa
  • Takashichea created since July 11, 2011 and added the origin (not much), gen. info. and the creation.
  • Obsidian609 linked it to the manga and other episodes.
6. Kuro
  • Takashichea created since July 11, 2011. Added the origin and creation.
  • Obsidian609 linked it to the manga and other episodes.
7. Hashino
  • Hibaru created in May 2011.
8. Nishiwaki
  • Hibaru created in May 2011.
9. Noriko Paku
  • It's assumed Anna created this since this is not on Obsidian's list of created pages.
  • Annabanana and Obsidian609 worked on this.
10. Oomoto
  • Hibaru created in May 2011.
11. Rin Okumura
  • Created by Dscythe911 in December 2010.
  • Assumed Hibaru formatted it and added the origin, creation, and evolution.
  • Takashichea created origin and the background into one paragraph. Worked on two bounties and the story arcs.
12. Ryūji Suguro
  • Created by Hibaru in the 2nd week of May 2011
13. Renzo Shima
  • Takashichea created since July 11, 2011 and added the origin and the creation.

  • Hibaru created this and added the beautiful information.
  • Takashichea reformat the page.
16. Shura Kirigakure
  • Created by Hibaru in the 2nd week of May 2011.
  • Hibaru did the origin, creation, and the evolution in a nice manner.
  • Takashichea added the powers and story arcs (ep. 10)
  • Obsidian609 linked her to several episodes.
17. Okumura Yukio
  • (Created by Dscythe911 in 1st week of April 2011)
  • Annabanana did a good job on origin, creation, and the evolution.
  • Takashichea added info about beauty marks under evolution.
18. Ukobach
  • Hibaru created in May 2011.
Demon Slaying Sword Kurikara
  • Unknown Creator
19. True Cross Academy
  • Dscythe911 created in April 2011.
20. Kazue Kato
  • Dscythe911 created in April 2011.

*Hashino is out of place and should have been first in alphabetical order, and Amaimon, Igor, and Mephisto are not on this list. (See below)

  • Amaimon - Unknown creator and Annabanana, Hibaru, Obsidian609, and Takashichea worked on it.
  • Igor Neuhaus - Created by Obsidian609.
  • Mephisto Pheles - Annabanana formatted it with the origin, creation, evolution, and powers plus the images with the text.

Episodes

It's the same problem as the character list. As the series progresses, the episodes and characters will probably need a separate list.

Afterword

Interestingly, the Blue Exorcist recognition blog is pretty long than Fairy Tail's recognition blog because of the character list. I will publish a historian blog about the episodes and plot summary for Blue Exorcist as well as for the other wiki projects: Fairy Tail, Shaman King, and Rave Master.

Thank you for reading this blog. PM me if I forgot you. This is not an exhaustive list. I will keep on updating this or publish a historian blog for the episodes.
