Sgt. Frog Musical Runs This Month

It may not be a Takarazuka Revue production, but a live-action stage musical of Sgt. Frog is scheduled to perform-- two days only, for four performances. The first two are March 21 at Gotanda U-Port Hall at 10:30am and 1:30pm, and the next are on March 22 at Oomiya Sonic City at 11am and 2pm. At ¥2000-3000 a ticket (about $20.50-30.79 USD), it's a pretty bargain way to be a nerd in Japan...if you don't mind being one of probably relatively few adult-types at a kiddy show.


The show is titled Chou Musical Ban Keroro Gunsou Kocho Kocho Daisakusen Dearimasu! (roughly Super-Musical Version Sgt. Frog Kitchy Koo Epic War!; “Dearimasu” would be tough to translate here-- it's the same as the verb aru, to be, but much more formal) and features someone running around in a big green Keroro suit. Sounds cute!

But of course still not out in america. I still remember thegiant promotions at expo 06.
