I love technology. In fact, after a long trip I usually hug my computer before I hug my puppy. Okay, mostly that's because the puppy has to pee, while the PC does not, but I love technology. KOBIAN scares me.

The latest in a line of robots meant to take over humanity, KOBIAN is the byproduct of combining the WABIAN-2 bipedal humanoid and the WE-4RII emotion expression humanoid. The fabulous people over at Pink Tentacle wrote up a good bit more on the subject, but the robot, manufactured by tmsuk is not on my wish list. Though, on the pratical side, I would accept a nice G.U.A.R.D.O. as a present.

My Favorite line:
"The robot also features a new double-jointed neck that helps it achieve more expressive postures."
No fair! I've wanted a double jointed neck for like... ever. Not sure what practical good it'd do me, but no fair!

You're paranoid. We'll only build robots designed to love us and do things for us. Why would we ever design one meant to HARM people?

...

.......

Right?

Am I the only one that saw the name and immediately thought of the 70's French progressive rock band Magma? Lead singer/songwriter Christian Vander wrote almost all of the lyrics in an invented language called Kobaian.

Great, just what I needed, a mobile suit that's a smart-alec.

Eh, i'd be more impressed if it was walking. I seen many robots plus the andriods that look really human.

Great, robots capable of running a PMS program. Just great.
