School Days well I truly feel this is a gut instinct review seeing as its 2:45 AM and I just finished the 12 episodes. OK let’s get one thing straight if you enjoy life, feel love is blissful and true in any way or all the world is beautiful this show is not for you. If this is true this show fucking hates you any anyone you’ve ever known. I cannot stretch this enough this show is based on a highly well thought out system of horrible things built to show you how messed up people truly are. Mid way through the show they mentioned a Chinese philosopher who stated all men were born innately evil and this show embraces it. Now getting to the actually review. The story starts off as a regular love story with rather sweet and normal character that are given just enough time for you to kind of grow attached to them and then preceded to destroy all their lives at the hands of one extremely manipulative sex fiend. Filled with betrayal insanity and hate the show grows increasingly more disturbing in an almost measurable steady growth. This all ends in a climatic last few episodes involving vastly shocking material and a god damn crazy ass just final of full sale insanity. The shining point of this series is not the fact that it makes me continue to lose faith in humanity but because its level of really hidden psychology. If you dig for it School days is a surprisingly relevant and realistic example of growing insanity in regular relatively normal people oh and plenty of excellent break downs. To people that enjoy psychology this is a gold mine but at a high coast. Watching this will no doubt make some people depressed with its fuck you ending. Notably it’s kind of hard to watch without a strong mind for this show whishes to break you of yourwish to live making defiantly a hard one to recommend. I have never hated a main character this much since I watched death note ya screw you Kira. The short size of the show works very much in its favor letting you zoom through it before it sucks what’s left of your soul away. This show is going to leave a bad taste in your mouth and a sickened stomach but if you can last through it’s a worthwhile show expanding your perception of psychology and something that is possible no where else. This is all together earns it 3 self hating sex fiends out of 5.
