Sakura Matou is the sister of Shinji Matou. After Shirou's father Kiritsugu died, Sakura often visited Shirou's home to help him with his daily chores. She is outwardly shy and timid, but possesses great inner strength. Sakura has a long standing and obvious crush on Emiya Shirou.

Shirou is the main male protagonist of Fate/stay Night. Idealistic and stubborn, Shirou dreams about becoming a true superhero. He accidentally summons Saber and finds himself in the middle of the Holy Grail War.

The English teacher, homeroom instructor and the supervising teacher for the archery dojo at Shiro's school. After Kiritsugu died, Taiga became Shiro's guardian and has been living with him for several years. Taiga and Shiro are very close, and she regards him as a younger brother.
