Origin
Ryokan in middle school dreamed of starting an American football team, however nobody else had any interest in it. One day however he stumbled upon Hiruma on the roof making up football plays and plans, and he began following him everywhere asking him to join the team. He refused and eventually the school told him he had to burn all the football equipment because they would never let him make a team. When Hiruma saw him unable to do it, he asked him why he was giving up and why he wanted to play in the first place, to which Ryokan responded that he had no alterior motivation, he just loved American Football. This touched Hiruma and he went and bet all his money at the military base he hung out at on the Red team. However the team's quarterback and center suffered heatstroke during the game and were taken off the field. Ryokan had snuck into the base and got stuck in the fence, and Hiruma noticed him there. The two of them then suited up and went out onto the field to play their first game ever of Football.
