The stand user of Yellow Temperance and an antagonist of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's Stardust Crusaders.
Rubber Soul was created by Hirohiko Araki, the author and illustrator of series, as a minor antagonist of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. His name is a reference to the 1965 album Rubber Soul by the Beatles.
Rubber Soul is a medium height man with dark, curly hair. By using his Stand’s ability, he can grow in size and take on different appearances.
He is shown to be extremely violent by nearly crippling a pickpocket who stole his wallet. He is also shown to be somewhat greedy and opportunistic in order to regain control of the battle against Jotaro. He is also shown to be cowardly and disloyal by selling out his partners after being threatened by Jotaro.
While Kakyoin was away, Rubber Soul copies his appearance in order to ambush Jotaro while they go buy tickets to Travel to India. However, his strange behavior makes both Jotaro and Anne suspicious. He then tries to push Jotaro off a balcony near the station while they are waiting. This confirms Jotaro’s suspicions and he punches Rubber Soul onto the cable car. However, the punch causes his jaw to nearly fall off and reveal Rubber Soul’s power. Rubber Soul then uses his Stand’s ability to begin to slowly eat Jotaro using the part of Yellow Temperance attached to his finger.
After Jotaro escapes from the car, Rubber Soul pretends to stop chasing him and takes the appearance of a woman when he moves to the next car. When Jotaro arrives in the next car to try freezing it, he laughs at Jotaro’s efforts while he absorbs the passengers’ dog. Jotaro then breaks the bottom of the cart in order to pull him down into the water below in an attempt to drown him. Rubber Soul then withdraws his Stand in order to breathe but this gives Jotaro a chance to attack him. He then begs Jotaro to stop attacking and even gives him information about his allies. He then uses a manhole to send Yellow Temperance directly at Jotaro through a drain. Before he could crush him, Jotaro sends a pressurized stream of water through the drain which causes the manhole cover to hit him. When Rubber Soul falls back into the water, he tries to beg for mercy once again but Jotaro delivers a barrage of punches which ultimately defeats Rubber Soul.
A yellow amorphous stand that is bound to the user. Its name is a reference to the Tarot Card Temperance while its design and abilities were inspired by The Blob horror movie.
