An English villain-turned-hero, Robin Mask fought alongside Suguru Kinniku in his campaign for the Choujin Crown.

The Way of the Englishman

Robin Mask was born to an overbearing father and an absent mother. He was literally bred for the Choujin League, to bring pride to England and his family. This treatment carried onto his own son, Kevin Mask. But Robin endured the training. He became something of a legend, using his family's techniques to either tear his opponents in half with a Tower Bridge or make them submit after their legs snapped with his superior strength. He entered the profession by age 17. Needless to say, he was a natural killer. He not only won matches, but he built up a reputation for being utterly ruthless, stopping only if his opponents submitted or if he grew tired. He even defeated Japan's champion fighter Ultraman in the 19th Choujin Olympics, humiliating him to the point of never competing in another Choujin Olympics tournament for the rest of his life. However, he met his match against the Perfect Choujin named Quarrelman.

Round 1!
Round 1!
The match started out like any other, with two men charging at each other and grappling for superiority. But, Quarrelman broke the hold and walked away, saying Robin Mask wasn't worthy to fight him. This occurrence, perhaps, gave Robin a chip in his superiorty complex and providing the protagonist Suguru Kinniku a leverage to work with in order to bring Robin to the heroic side. Even if this isn't true, Robin was driven to fight harder in his resolve to prove Quarrelman wrong. He began using more and more brutal tactics in his matches, going to the lengths of hiding his violent nature with a gentlemanly guise.

The year following his humiliation at Quarrelman's indifference, he met Kinnikuman.

The 20th Choujin Olympics/The Meeting of Similar Minds/"The Big Fight"

Robin Mask heard that Japan wouldn't be sending a representative to the Olympics, especially after he humiliated Ultraman. He cleverly confronted Kinnikuman with a gentle face and hand, believing him to be a good fighter because of his size. Before Kinnikuman could disagree about a "friendly match," Robin caught him in a Scissor Hold and tried to make him surrender. This was probably only a result of his bruised ego after Quarrelman, but Suguru managed to outlast the Englishman. Robin Mask broke the hold after a few hours and walked off, not able to hear Harotobe congratulating Suguru and enabling him to compete in the Olympics.

After thrashing his way through every opponent in the Olympics, Robin Mask was the favorite to win. And in the last few minutes of the match between him and Suguru, it was thought he was going to. He caught Suguru in the Tower Bridge and heard a loud crack, throwing the body into a corner before lamenting for such an opponent. He remarked that it had been a long time since he had a reasonable fight, but as he was walking away, Suguru used his Burning Inner Strength and pinned Robin for a three-count. After the match, Robin was not allowed back into England because of his humiliation. The target of his resulting anger was, of course, Kinnikuman. He vowed not to be upstaged by Suguru again and went to America with his wife Alisa. But, while there, he stole his wife's purse and ran away to train for the upcoming American Tour.

He met Kinnikuman in a staged fight above the Grand Canyon, but he did not know what was going to happen. As Suguru was about to win for the second time, Kinkotsuman and Iwao crashed a plane into the ring, knocking Robin Mask into the canyon. He managed to survive, but he was unable to fight ever again (this was a plot device that was discarded by the time the Seven Devil Choujin arc was set in motion). He went to Russia and found a cyborg named Warsman. He trained Warsman to be a cold-blooded killer with no equal and entered him into the 21st Choujin Olympics, managing him under the name of Barracuda.

During the final round of the 21st Choujin Olympics, Barracuda revealed himself to be Robin Mask and ordered Warsman to use the spare Bear Claws after Suguru knocked the first set off Warsman's hands and refused to use them against him. When Warsman declined Robin's orders, he was beaten with a whip. And when Bibinba tried to stop him, he slapped her. Warsman intervened and smacked Robin to the ground before going back to fight Suguru. Moved by Warsman's actions to be more like Suguru, Robin saw what he was doing was wrong and by the match's end, he and Warsman joined Suguru as justice choujin.

The Seven Devil Choujin Strike!

By the time Buffaloman attacked the Choujin League with his allies Black Hole, Atlantis, Springman, Mr. Khamen, The Mountain, and SteCassette King, Robin Mask was a great ally of Suguru. He gladly took it upon himself to fight Atlantis in a match on the lake, but was defeated by the deadly Atlantis Drop while underwater. His mask taken by Atlantis, Robin Mask died from drowning, but was brought back (along with the others who died) by a dying Buffaloman.

Robin Mask's Role in the Golden Mask Arc

Robin Mask was one of the four choujin who fought the demon choujin inside of Warsman's comatose body after Suguru defeated Planetman. Robin Mask fought Junkman, who could turn his head and arms backwards, thus enabling both sides of his body virtually impossible to attack due to his enormous compactor hands. Robin Mask removed his armor, the rim of his mask, and his belt to become able to run at superhuman speeds and confuse Junkman to his whereabouts. Then, he flew into the sky and impaled Junkman with the spike of his mask and used the Tower Bride while upside-down to kill the demon choujin.

It's high-time for Round 2!
Robin Mask and Warsman entered the Dream Tag Team Tournament as the Choujin Master/Student Combo. They were refrained from fighting, however, until after the Perfect Choujin Screw Kid and Kendaman were killed by the Hell Missionaries (Neptuneman and Big the Budo). They were present when Neptuneman challenged Suguru and all the other justice choujin to try and stop him from winning the tournament. Robin Mask and Warsman were also the first ones to battle the Hell Missionaries. Before their match began, Neptuneman started showboating and revealed the inner linings of his cape to be filled with the masks of his fallen enemies. With a finger in the air to signify that he was "Number 1", Neptuneman opened the match by grappling with Robin Mask. Robin recognized Neptuneman's fighting style and recognized him as Quarrelman, the choujin who humiliated him years ago. Neptuneman admitted his identity and told Robin that he wasn't going to walk out this time and began using all manner of technique on Robin, who was beginning to get worked over rather early in the match.

Robin...Unmasked...
Robin...Unmasked...
Robin Mask tagged Warsman in after Warsman convinced him to do so, but Warsman fared little better than he did. Neptuneman even impaled Warsman's back on the spikes of his vest and used a technique called the Double Leg Suplex, which devastated the cyborg. Warsman then lost his mask and most of his eyesight for a few moments. Robin instructed him where to strike with his Bear Claws until his eyes adjusted, but by then the cyborg was beyond doomed. Neptuneman used the Quarrel Bomber and Warsman was put down. Robin took Warsman's Bear Claws and began to fight with them, desperate to avenge his fallen friend. But Neptuneman was too great of a foe to face alone and Robin was unmasked by Neptuneman's and Big the Budo's tag combo attack, the Cross Bomber. Robin Mask collapsed to the mat in defeat and lost his fighting spirit.

Scramble for the Throne!!

Rest well...
Rest well...
Robin Mask was actually inspired back into fighting when he heard Kinnikuman was in trouble. Racing to help him along with a myriad of his friends, Robin joined Kinnikuman in the quest to win back his throne. He fought Kinnikuman Mariposa, who had stolen the sacred staff of the Mask family years ago and who also used its powers against Robin. Robin defeated Mariposa, though, and took back the Mask artifact. During the following two rounds of fighitng, Robin destroyed the gargantuan Pantheon of Kinnikuman Zebra's team and fought the creature known as Mammothman of Kinnikuman Super Phoenix's team. During that fight, Phoenix used the pages from the book of Muscle Prophecy to make it so that even a slight nudge against the ropes would cause one of the pages to fall and the choujin it held in ink and paper to be lost forever. Robin's page was thrown into the fire first and he began to disappear as he was about to kill Mammothman with the Robin Special. Desperate, he went for a Tower Bridge, unsure if his body would break against the mat in the process. The Samurai and Kinnikuman were there to stop him from falling, catching him to try and help him live. But, he made a heartfelt speech that he needed to go, so that he may have a place in everyone's hearts. The last few shreds of his and Mammothman's pages fading, he threw their combined bodies into the ropes to make the Ropework Tower Bridge. Then...Robin faded.

After the greatest challenge was faced, he was revived by Kinnikuman's Face Flash. And so ended Kinnikuman...at least, for the time being.
