Motives for the quest are revealed as Claudette and Reina fight with disastrous consequences.
Thunder General Claudette meets up with the assassin snake lady Echidna, angry that she returned empty handed. So Claudette sets out to drag Reina home by herself. Meanwhile, Reina sets out to try and find wherever her "best friend" Risty went, but is having trouble picking up her trail, so she sits down in a forest and tries to eat a giant mushroom, only to puke it up.
The angel Nanael, getting more lines in this episode than the rest of the series so far, decides to chat with Reina, though it's mostly because she's failing at her duty as a judge of the Queen's Blade tourney. So she offers to give Reina a pyramid-shaped jar of Angel's Milk (I'm guessing it's not 2%), which Reina drinks to cure the mushroom poisoning and then spits all over Nanael's body. Considering that Nanael is wearing all white, you can guess what happens next.
Claudette finally catches up with Reina, and Nanael finally does something other than whine about her sad life as she broadcasts the fight across whatever country this show takes place in. Reina is pissed off at Claudette, demonstrating her fighting skills by hitting her large sword instead of actually trying to hit her. Claudette finally has enough and unleashes a giant bolt of lightning on Reina, breaking off her armor and leading to a dramatic scene where Reina is about to fall off a cliff as Claudette tries to pull her back up. Reina tells Claudette that she loves her as she lets go and falls into the abyss.
Also, Tomoe and Shizuka make their cameos, along with that sister who really, really likes Reina.
