Rio Rollins Tachibana

Overview

Rio is a world famous dealer who is trying to earn the title of Most Valuable Casino Dealer, a title which her mother once had. Rio works at the Howard Resort where she takes on various challengers seeking her Gates, cards given talented dealers as a sign of their skill.

Origin

Rio was raised by her mother, Risa, a talented casino dealer earned the coveted title of Most Valuable Casino Dealer. She was friends with Rina Tachibana, a young girl that Risa eventually adopted after losing her family. As a young adult, Rio set out to make a name for herself in the casino industry and become a dealer whose skill rivaled those of her mother, who is widely considered to be the best dealer of her generation.

Creation

Rio was created to be the mascot for Tecmo's Super Black Jack video game series. She has also appeared in the Dead or Alive Paradise and Dead or Alive Xtreme games as well.
