A childhood friend of Sora in the Kingdom Hearts series, Riku played the role of the villain after he embraced the power of darkness. Eventually, he broke free of it's control, helping King Mickey fight the heartless and Sora fight Organization XIII
Riku is a childhood friend of Sora's and Kairi's. They played together frequently on Destiny Island before the Heartless took over. In order to gain power, Riku accepted the Darkness and was subsequently manipulated by Malefescent into working against Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Eventually, with King Mickey's help, Riku is able to free himself somewhat from the Darkness's influence and help Sora fight Organization XIII.
