In True Calendar year 71, humanity has reached the stars with the development of Dyson Spheres. A ship carries two transfer students for Sakimori Academy. In school, Haruto struggles to wolf down a sandwich. The contest's winner will get to use the track. Though, Haruto loses to the girl next to him, Shoko. Elsewhere, two adults welcome a group of transfer students to JIOR Module 77. L-elf takes a knife and kills the two adults and comments how peace made everyone soft. As class goes by, Haruto's friend asks him if he's going to confess to Shoko before Shoko gets snatched by someone. Shoko tries to take Haruto's phone when she notices Haruto has been staring at her. Haruto comments that Shoko should keep her mouth shut. Outside of school, the same transfer students asks a couple for directions. L-elf tells his group to stop interfering with the locals and makes a report about their surroundings. When Haruto shares to Shoko that he wishes that life isn't about winning or losing and that they should used half of the field, L-elf asks Haruto if he would cut the girl he love in half. L-elf remarks that happiness cannot be split into "Halfsies" after stealing his key. Haruto stumbles after attempting to get his key. By the pool, Nanami-sensei waits for Rukino who is supposed to here for extra lessons. Meanwhile, Shoko wonders about L-elf.

In the elevator, A-drei reminds L-elf that they are supposed to keep contact to a minimum. X-eins and the others manage to hack and open the door. Meanwhile, Shoko remarks how the shrine is a place to confess one feelings to another. Deep in space, Cain and Kriemhild commence Operation Virgin Road. At the shrine, Shoko asks Haruto to give her time. Back in space, the Dorushia Military Pact Federation send their mechs out. As Haruto tries to confess to Shoko, a fleet of mechs invade JIOR Module 77. The Dorushia mechs use their shields to protect themselves from turret fire. The school is under attack. At the same time, the Dorushia fires on the ships. In a laboratory, the scientists wonder if they have to use Valvrave. Suddenly, L-elf and his group shoot and execute the scientists. However, one scientist presses a button that sends the robot above ground where Haruto is. Then, Shoko goes out to help someone trapped in a car. Haruto shouts to stop her, but he couldn't when one of the Dorushia mechs fires at her.

Struggling to look for Shoko, Haruto's friends try to stop him and tell him that she's dead. After Haruto screams, he climbs into the cockpit of the Valvrave mech to get his revenge. Haruto struggles to pilot the robot. Meanwhile, a girl uploads a video of the Valvrave being attacked by Dorushia to the web. When Haruto is about to give up, Shoko's words pop in his head. Haruto chooses the option to resign his human being and to fight. Valvrave transforms, and it destroys the head of the mech enemy. Valvrave evades the machine guns and destroys the rest of the mechs except the captain. Valvrave circles around the captain and disarms it shields before destroying it. Everyone greets Haruto and send their friend requests. Haruto grieves over Shoko's death.

When L-elf arrives to meet Haruto, Haruto tells him to laugh at him and admits that a world without winners and losers is a fantasy. L-elf introduces himself and stabs Haruto in the chest. After he shoots Haruto's body, he utters Liselotte's name. From behind, Haruto bites L-elf's neck.
