The main heroine of "Elemental Gelade" She is an Eadel Raid - a person who forms a contract with a Pleadger and can turn into a weapon for her partner to wield. A descendant from a noble bloodline "Shichiko-hoji". When she meets Coud, she forms a contract with him. Her aim is to get to Edel Garden and to get there she travels with Coud, Cisqua and friends.

Reverie Metherlence, better known as Ren, is an Edel Raid and direct descendant of the Metherlence. She is also one of the Seven Glittering Jewels (or Shichiko-hoji), an Edel Raid line said to be the strongest. In the beginning, she stated that she had hated Coud because he was human, but after he does his best to protect her, she reacts with him and begins to think better of him. As the story progresses, she realizes that she has developed feelings for Coud. When Ren reacts with Coud she becomes a massive weapon on Coud. Her weapon form is a giant sword on Cou's right arm, the appearance of the sword differs between the anime and manga.
