Resistance

As Cruz is going into critical condition from his sister's attack, he enters a flashback where he and Aruka are members of the Resistance. The Captain of the Resistance gets information that Adam Arclight is going to be alone and vulnerable, so he rallies all the fighters he can for one massive attack. The night before the attack, he slips a data chip into a pendant and gives it to Cruz, telling him that his sister wanted him to have it. Aruka begs Cruz not to go, but Cruz tags along for the attack anyway.

If you've seen the first episode, you already know how this ends, except now there's also footage of Aruka betraying the Resistance forces and Adam Arclight using his inherited powers to make the Resistance Captain's body snap itself in two. Back in the present, Adam Blade and Eve Neuschwanstein are feeling the heat from Aruka and Saten's attacks (respectively) as Cruz finally loses consciousness.
